One of my best ideas

Covering the table with paper was a major hit and it lasted for several days. L would literally run to it every morning. Now I will be purchasing a giant roll of paper from Xpedx to keep on hand for our "art table". My mom used lay out roll paper for us on the floor and we would make/draw all kinds of things. My favorite is when she would trace our bodies and then we would color it in. Good memories.

I love those tiny hands.

  1. She looks very dedicated to her drawing. Its so nice to have something that the little ones will do to keep busy while we get something done. At the moment Barney accomplishes that at our house.

  2. If you go to the Daily Herald office in Provo you can get end rolls of newsprint for not very much. That's what I use for big paper projects. It is so much cheaper than buying rolls of paper. Lauren looks so cute.

  3. OOH, thanks for the tip! I'd rather buy actual newspaper like my mom had.

  5. Is L. going to be a leftie?

I may have to do this for my boy now that he will be the only one home during school. This would be a good thing for "art day" for us.

  6. Love it! Go, Lauren! She's an artiste like her mother.

  7. If floor space is in short supply, you could also tape your paper to the wall, say, down your hallway. Unless this will confuse the little ones and they think the walls without paper are also free game. Depends on the kid. Your mom and all her sisters had the same ideas. I remember doing this as a kid as well. Tiffany
