Well, hello there!

Tromso bunk beds from IKEA

Yep, this is pretty much what I'm looking for.  Perfect for the girls' room update and preparing space for baby.  We don't have a place that can handle large, bulky, wooden furniture.  Plus, that's not my taste anyway.  Hopefully, I dig it as much in person because $150 is so right.

....but these are cool because they can also convert into individual beds.  I like that very much. But $300?  I'm feeling cheap these days.

One afternoon

She loves to pull the cushions of this chair.

She chases butterflies

and sometimes catches them too...

This is by far the biggest and best one I've seen in her net.  So pretty.
She is a neighborhood friend.

Little bug

It was her 4th day in a row wearing this. And the only reason M stopped wearing it is because it needed to be washed in a real bad way.

It's all in a weekend

a few more pics from when we stayed at my sister's house.....

I like this photo cuz H likes to read so much.

I love her pigtails the most.

P.S. I'm 36 weeks today. Ack! Which means we will probably have a baby in about 3 weeks. I'm not ready. But I am ready to not be pregnant anymore. We don't have a bed or a carseat and I really don't care. It will all work out. We'll get it when we get it.

The good report

1.  L slept in until 11AM Monday.  I think she was a little tired from the weekend.
2.  I like slow mornings.
3.  The girls were exceptional during a way too long wait at the doctor.  Followed by massive grocery trip.  Really, I can't believe how good they were.  I think it was more painful for me and my tapped energy.
4.  Jeff is the new cub master.  The girls had a blast (on the most beautiful night ever) cruising the church parking lot and playing in the grass during the bike rodeo.
5.  Swimming at the local pool.  Our first of the season.  I love to see the girls so happy and having fun.  (but they are way to cocky about water for my liking)
6.  Blogging in bed is the best.

More bedhead

Seriously, I'm going to start collecting pics.  This one was pure awesomeness.

The little details

Her hair after she's played all day.  And a pretty spot of light I discovered at a certain time of day in our bedroom.
I just liked it.

That pretty much sums it up

Today we spent three hours outside playing.  I only like to emmerge from the air conditioned comfort once the front of our house is mostly shade.  There was chalk art on our driveway and a kiddie pool.  The girls were in heaven, in between fights.   All I did was sit in a chair next to the mister (best purchase ever).  And still, I was utterly exhausted afterward.  Pregnancy is good times.

The good report

1.  Sleeping with our doors open.
2.  Hanging with the neighbors while the kids play.
3.  Bringing potluck to weekly park day.  Best idea ever.  I love food.
4.  And UT summer's are always perfect in the shade.  I love the shade.
5.  L's flawless skin has returned.
6.  Two hours at the fabric store browsing dress patterns.  It was awesome having time to myself imagining projects, instead of running errands.
7.  Jeff encouraging me to enjoy my personal time.  That guy!
8.  The best sunscreen for the girls' skin.  It's my fave.  No strong odor, not greasy.  Just love all around.  Gentle, gentle, gentle.  Expensive, but worth every penny.  I use it on their whole body.
9.  More produce from Em's garden.  And fresh eggs.
10.  Jeffy is my hero.  Seriously.  He takes care of me.
11.  Jeff's sister and nephew visit.  L is completely into her Aunt Missy.  I'm completely into how lovely she is to the girls.  My heart melts.
12.  Jeff insisted I take a nap.  Meanwhile, he and Missy cleaned the house.  No words.

Greener pastures

I dream of travel.
Every once in a while I drive by something that looks so totally "somewhere else" and I am transported for a bit.  That's my favorite when it happens.  This little corner is just down the road from our house.  It's hard to grasp the scale (hugely tall) without a person in the shot, but doesn't it look like the side of some lush English cottage?  (might just be me).
It also happens to be where Em is choosing to have family pics.  I think it's a great choice.  I'm excited.  I'm saving my best shots for them.

Now, where to take Nate & Ash family?  I'm on the prowl.

The good report

1.  Jeff is home again and taking care of me as usual.  I need.
2.  A few days this week that were cooler temps.  Super nice for big pregnant ladies.
3.  Been on the prowl for a stripe dress.  And just scored a $10 one (though it fits me like a tunic) at Forever 21.  It's real cute.  Also, purchased their $10 skinny jeans and cut off into summer shorts because I refuse to buy maternity shorts with only 6 weeks left.  Just refuse.
4.  Got in touch with an illustrator who is going to do something for us.  Cool.
5.  When Jeff is blown away by a photograph I take.  That's one of my favorite things in the whole world.
6.  Having lots of long conversations with Jeff after the girls go to bed.  Love him.  His PA trip was super meaningful.  Love that.
7.  When Jeff takes the girls with him to run errands and the house is quiet and I can clean, organize, sleep, or cruise Pinterest all I want.
8.  Orem's Summerfest.  Totally windblown and cold at the parade, but I will never ever get over drumlines and the American flag.
9.  Carnival food.  For example:  Hot, homemade cake doughnuts that were so right.
10.  Fireworks were awesome.   (I will be in a late night coma all day).

I like the dark of this poster.   Has me thinking about some ideas since I'm trying to add other types of art in the mix of all the photography going up in our room.  (Inspiration here)

And speaking of dark, I'm diggin' these black pencils for my nightstand.  Yep, I'm most definitely styling my nightstand.  It needs to be good and pretty.  I just love a nice sharp pencil.  Well, office/school supplies in general.  Now, if I could get the girls to leave my nice sharp pencils and new notepads alone.

I adore this post about blogging.  Pretty much YEP on all counts.

Feeling a little sad about missing some big family moments this summer due to pregnancy.  Really wishing I was one of those ladies that felt awesome.  Booooooo.

Lovin' summer

Aw, cuzzies. They love each other. They hate each other.

At my sister's house last weekend. They pretty much played in the sprinklers for two days straight. And I hope my brother-in-law's beautiful lawn survived the soak.

Just Classic

Hat head

I love that she will wear this, but I shouldn't be surprised.  She likes to accessorize.  She commits to it for a good portion of the day.  For style purposes and practical ones too.  Girl has some fair/sensitive skin.  Wonder where she gets that from?  :)

She climbs

.....and hops and skips, and jumps and bounces all over the house. M's world is fun. (and a bit dangerous)

Rose garden

Someone seriously needs a portrait in this arch.  The super femme, perhaps?

Paranoia will destroy-ya

I keep having fears that this baby will come really early. Like, in the next 2-3 weeks early. We are not ready. I am not ready. Oh, please no. Even though I'm uncomfortable and feeling like crap in some way at all times. Still, please no. I suppose it stems from M's traumatic to me barely-made-it-to-the-hospital-are-you-kidding-me-no-epidural-I'm-not-that-kind-of-girl birth. Or the scariest week of my life in February. Ugh. So I try to do really superficial things and AVOID by stuffing in more superficial things. I fear the emotional outbursts L will have trying to adjust to a third. That her insane waking up in the middle of the night hysterics will return. Oh my gosh, I can't do that ever, ever, ever again. Which means it will happen. Please, no. I fear having to be at my best and on top of my motherhood game when I am at my physical and emotional worst. Oh, how I hate the newborn phase. I fear the sleepless nights. What am I going to do with three kids? How will I entertain the other two in the middle of the summer while I try to recover and feed a newborn all day, every day? How in the world am I going to go grocery shopping? Just lots of fear. Yep, I fear that I will never feel good again. I fear that I will keep failing at the really, really important things. I fear that my mind will not be able to turn off these thoughts and I will be up all night. Stewing. Worrying. Freaking out in general. Oh crap, trying to remember who all is invited to read this blog besides my mom and my sisters.

Style me pretty

Call me crazy, but I'm already planning family pictures for the Fall.  That's just how I do.  Even though I just barely hung some on the wall they were taken quite a while ago (October).  I'm planning on October again this year.  It just always seems to be a good time for us.  Can't wait to have a portrait including baby #3 and fill the frames reserved just for her.  I gasped out loud when I saw this little lovely in the latest Anthropologie Catalog (p. 41).  I'll have no problems planning our entire wardrobe around it (me).    Ooo, those pleats.  And the color blocks.  I've died.

The good report

1. A great evening at my sister's over Memorial weekend. Good food. And the girls ran so free getting good and dirty.  (Doesn't Monday seem like a year ago, but it was this week).
2. The first of my sister's garden bounty. Snap peas and lettuce. Yes, yes I will take some home with me.
3. More flowers (photographs) catching my eye. Oh man, UT is pretty right now. It's so green.
4. I believe I can change. That's major. There is a difference going on. One major flaw improving, One more to go.
5. Treatment from the dermatologist (decided to get a second opinion) has worked wonders for L's allergy nightmare.
6.  A really, really good watermelon.
7. Survived a weekend watching my sister's kids.  (They were fine.  It's me....I've been coughing and hacking away and generally feeling drained and uncomfortable).  And the girls had the time of their lives running free.
8.  Jeffy is home from PA in two hours!  I'm off to the airport.
