So this is Christmas (morning)

Santa left this door curtain.

My new favorite photo

Showing off her ballet outfit (one of her presents)

I walked by and saw this little scene going on.  M had one of my cameras.
Monkey see, Monkey do.
(and that's what their room usually looks like)

The good report

1.  E started rolling over on her own.
2.  And literally laughing at everything.  Plus, squeals of delight while watching her mobile spin.
3.  Tithing settlement with the Bishop turned out to be a super uplifting convo and just what Jeff and I needed.
4.  Chilling by the tree after the girls have gone to bed.
5.  Snow on Christmas Eve.  C'mon...that's magical.
6.  Homemade vanilla from a neighbor.  Mmmmmmm.  I like the good stuff.
7.  Christmas was totally awesome this year.  Jeff was thoroughly surprised and grateful.
8.  Steak, shrimp, and salmon makes for the perfect Christmas dinner.
9.  I really like when Jeff picks out new perfume for me.
10.  More snow.  I've always appreciated the white stuff.
11.  A Playmobil kind of Christmas = hours of entertainment.  Totally addicted.  Will probably talk about it over and over again.  We got the coolest sets for the girls.
12.  Jeff is loving working in Heber.
13.  Nicky had her baby girl.  Ann Kathryn.  (I'm a fan of classy names like that).
14.  A quiet walk in the snow.  Alone.  With my camera.  I felt totally rejuvinated after.  (The girls were at a neighbors).
15.  Jeff encouraging me to do special things for our family.
16.  Em's Christmas gift surprised us.  I really wanted one.
17.  Four day weekend = Jeff home.
18.  After Christmas trip to post office = No lines, no wait.
19.  Finally saw Nanny McPhee after Nicky gifted it to us.  I thought it was adorable.  Though the Colin Firth factor probably contributed.
20.  Started stuffing E full of semi solids in the hopes that she'll go back to sleeping all night.
21.  L's made up language cracks me up.  She calls it "Spanish".  I'll give you a sample.  A-claw ooclaw pleeplaw.

Christmas dresses

Had to give the girls a "we take pictures for special events" talk before these were taken. But it had more to do with it being Sunday morning. The worst morning of all the days. I hate the before church part of the day. It's a lot of work/stress/frustration.

(I couldn't find any dresses I liked for E).

Me & Little Miss

Dear E,
Love it or hate it, You'll be seeing that lens for the rest of your life.

Love, Mom

Music in the air

Mosty this picture is for us.  I want to remember how good L is with E.  How she makes up songs and sings all the time.   How she loves her baby sister and her birthday guitar.

Good stuff.

Christmas crib

Just a little something festive for her bed.

some of our Christmas decor

The good report

1.  A thorough cleaning of the van.
2.  A few less bills.
3.  Dropping everything (errands, chores) for a snowy day.  Sledding, hot chocolate, sledding, hot baths, afternoon naps.  Only thing missing was Jeff.
4.  A neighbor tip on where to find real good gloves for the girls.  Local store scores big with these mittens.  Oh yes, waterproof too.
5.  L runs out to greet the mail lady almost daily.  On Wednesday she left a little Christmas surprise in our box for the girls.  I was so touched.  And L and M about flipped their lids with excitement.
6.  The way E holds my finger and thumb so tight while she drinks a bottle.
7.  My lab gave me someone else's scans, but at least they had the right negatives so it is an easy fix.
8.  Beautiful snowfall.  The world was covered.
9.  Took some Winter-y pics of the girls.
10.  E's scrunchy faces when she tried applesauce with rice cereal for the first time.
11.  Some good hair days courtesty of that new haircut.
12.  The WINDY cold reminds me to be thankful for our warm house.
13.  The sound of L singing primary songs to herself after I've put her to bed.  "I like to look for rainbows....."
14.  And her latest:  fake machine gun laughter which cracks me up.  So she does it often.
15.  Jeff got a $50 tip from someone he delivers to.  I thought that was so cool.
16.  Everyone (mostly L) played nicer than normal when we watched neighbor friends one morning.
17.  Lunch and a movie with Jeff.  Lots of catching up and meaningful conversation.  I love him.
18.  That really cool family gift I was waiting on arrived.

P.S.  I'm sending out my request to the universe. Will someone please make a mint green dress for M's Easter dress?  Preferrably Old Navy so I can use my rewards and get it for free.  That would be great.

Bookin' it

M likes when we read to her a lot.  But I think it's super sweet when I find her looking at books on her own.  She spends a portion of every day just like this.  And she also pretends to read to E, repeating the lines and phrases she can remember.  Cuteness.

Rockstar party (L turns 5)

She may have asked me about 900 times when everyone was coming.
 It wasn't annoying at all.
The anticipation is killer for a little one.

Dollar Tree wigs and microphones purchased over the summer.
