Childhood

Swinging pics will always remind me of my childhood.

Limitless

Limitations in photography are in yourself,
for what you see is what you are.

I've known this connection for a long time.

Supremely frustrated with my limitations (in myself) right now.  Because it's hindering the type of photography I want to make.

Mismatch delight

This baby girl loves her swing.  It's also her favorite place to nap.

The good report

1.  Spontaneous visit from Alisha & Claire.
2.  Jeff found missing van keys.
3.  Provo temple with Jeff.  Followed by Smokehouse (my death row meal for sure....BBQ bacon blue cheese burger with mac-n-cheese.  I don't want that meal to end.  Ever.)
4.  Dropbox means I don't have to pic up my scans.  Emailed right to me.  Thank you very much.
5.  Full body goose bumps.
6.  2 Plane tickets for May wedding.  Done. And done.
7.  E has two more teeth.  The front ones.
8.  Even though her napping is unpredictable, she is still sleeping at night.
9.  Morning at the park with some neighbors that moved away.
10.  E is standing on her own.  Without holding on to something.

Movin' on up

It's not easy photographing interiors.  I would do some of it differently after having the experience. These were taken for our listing.  I still think they are a thousand times better than 100% of listings we've looked at.  (That's my own research, of course).  I mean, I really can't figure out why people don't clean off their kitchen counters or put their laundry away before listing their home for sale.  Ew.

The sign is in the yard.  9 people have walked through in two weeks.

So many unknowns in our life right now.

Brain. Storm.

Sometimes I want to get all wordy and eloquent in my posts and write everything I'm feeling, and then I just end up breaking it down to the basics.  Like this....

I love the f8 group and what it does for me.  We did a little creative exercise this month and had to choose words to describe our work.

This is what I wrote.

calm
peaceful
quiet

I also chose words to describe my ideal work.

timeless
honest
beauty
emotional
subtle
authentic
universal
family
familial
soft
vulnerable

Here's to getting there.
Eventually.

For preschool

She was all kinds of excited about "silly day" at school.

Let them play

After four sessions of General Conference, we all needed some air.

Light up my life

UT is pretty.

I didn't even realize how much I was starving for this kind of stuff.  It was such a great adventure.  But a simple one.

And then there was the light.

Oh, the light!
